ByteCraft Work is the company's internal time tracker. A desktop agent captures activity and screenshots while you work, and time is logged per GitLab issue — no spreadsheets, no manual stopwatch.
For ByteCraft employees only · Access via GitLab SSO
Two ways to log time — automatic via the desktop agent and manual in the browser — both tied to your GitLab projects and issues.
The desktop agent records activity level and periodic screenshots for the task you're working on, then syncs them to the server.
Add or adjust time by hand on the Time screen when you worked away from the agent.
Projects and issues are pulled from GitLab in real time, and tracked time is pushed back to GitLab as Spent time.
Review captured screenshots and per-interval activity percentages on the Activity screen.
Team and Timeline views show who worked on what and when, across days and projects.
Sign in once with GitLab. Admins see everyone and manage users; members see their own time.
Get from sign-in to a synced timesheet in four steps.
Open the app and authenticate with your ByteCraft GitLab account — no separate password.
Choose a GitLab project and issue, then start tracking in the desktop agent or log time on the Time screen.
The agent captures activity and screenshots in the background. Review them on the Activity screen anytime.
Your tracked hours are rolled up and pushed to the issue's GitLab Spent time automatically.
A lightweight Windows app that does the automatic tracking. It runs in the background, captures activity and screenshots for the active task, and keeps working offline — queued data syncs once you're back online.
The installer is distributed internally — ask an admin if you don't have it yet.
Access is scoped by role and granted through GitLab SSO.
AdminSees every employee's time and activity, manages users and settings, and oversees the Team, Timeline and Insights views.
MemberSees their own tracked time and activity, and the tasks assigned to them in GitLab.
